Edition of Portuguese composer Filipe de Magalhães’s Agnus Dei. This is the last rubric of the mass O Soberana Luz, published in his 1936 Liber Missarum.
This work is scored for SSATB. Original pitch and original note values were kept in this edition. For performance one can transposed it down a whole tone.
Only the first part of the Agnus Dei is set to music. Two more repetitions of this section are required to complete the 3-part text setting of this rubric. The second repetition (… miserere nobis) should be the same as the text set to music. The third repetition (… dona eis pacem) is set on the same music but with the proper text. That is exemplified in the video at the bottom of this post.

The Missa O Soberana Luz was recorded by Ars Nova (dir. Bo Holten) in their CD Portuguese Polyphony (Naxos, ). It was also recorded by A Capella Portuguesa (dir. Owen Rees) in the CD Masters of the Royal Chapel, Lisbon (Hyperion, 1994).
